There are around 250,000 hospital admissions related to hip fractures in the US each year. Fracturing the hip is a serious injury, as it often has a significant impact on mobility and function, and due to complications increases the risk of mortality. While medical management and physical therapy is vital for a successful outcome following a hip fracture, the importance of nutritional interventions should not be overlooked.
