The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), lists falls as the single most common cause of injury. Although falls can affect people of any age, falls can lead to serious health consequences in the elderly. One-quarter of the seniors who experience a serious fall perish within the year, and one-half of seniors who fall must move to assisted living or other supervised care.
